HuHottie

We had a nice weekend with our little Jud Bud. That's what the kids at our first daycare called Judson David. He seemed to like just hanging out on the couch, surfing the Net and watching basketball. We're often just TV watching slugs at our house - and don't require much interaction, unlike at his girlfriend Kara's where they play family games. Grilled steaks were on the menu, along with breadsticks, salad and baked potatoes Saturday night. The weather was fab and I took a relaxing and healthful walk that afternoon. Laundry was in progress. Paul was putzing in the yard.

Yesterday (Sunday) we had a mid-morning big breakfast, watched a couple basketball games and took off for DSM mid-afternoon. Jud had to head back to St. Joe to entertain a kid his employer, Altec, was going to interview today. Paul and I decided to eat an early supper at Legends - outside, where they have six TVs - so we could continue game-watch. Then we walked back to the loft and watched Kansas pull out a squeeker. The Good Wife finished out the night. Love that show!
Paul watches Creighton vs North Carolina
Below - a few pics from my Friday walk. I've vowed to get Paul George Goldsmith on these bikes before our loft time is over. And into a gay bar. East Village Bucket List!

Bikes have names on them! So cute.

I wonder what they make at this building near ours...?

And what this padlock is guarding?

Tonight it was raining after work. Paul and I drove out to West Des Moines to Bed, Bath and Beyond to shop for a bridal shower gift for Keith Peterson's bride Kelsey. We decided to eat at HuHot, and saw Hub and Betty Bradley from our church there. Hub came by to make sure Paul was with his wife - not some DSM hottie! haha

I called my roomie Joan tonight to check in. Miss that girl! I'm sorry to hear her dad, Willie is doing poorly. It's so tough watching the ones you love suffer. So anyone out there in readerland - thoughts and prayers appreciated for the McFees!
