We're friends on Facebook...and her parents have our names. But I've never really met her. My pseudo kid - Rebecca Goldsmith. None-the-less I was pleased to read the recent excellent article about her in the DSM Register. Des Moines Register Goldsmith article
It makes her sound very grounded about being Miss Iowa. She tried three times before she was selected - so it's a goal she's worked hard to attain. I really appreciate the fact that just because she didn't succeed at first (or at second), she didn't quit. That tells me a lot about this young woman! I wish her well - at whatever she tackles next.
And the fact that her parents have such strong names! Well...she can't help but be a winner!

Thanks for the shout-out!!! We will be leaving for Vegas (Baby...) on Monday night and will stay until the following Tuesday. We have a fun group joining us, but will only get to spend a few hours with Rebecca. She is having an amazing time!! We get a 60 second phone call most days because she is so busy. She had a nice chat with Donald Trump when on a NY tour a few weeks ago. We appreciate your thoughts and support--and Sahar's has done a great time keeping her many appointments straight from ours~ :o) Will update when we return. L & P
