Carol Glynn of Creston was laid to rest today. She was only 67 - just Mom's age when she died. Carol fought the brave battle with breast cancer - holding it off for several years before that evil disease took her at last, on Sunday. She lasted at least a month after the docs told the family to have their Christmas as she wouldn't last.
I always liked Carol - she was one of those people who could get away with calling me Les. Usually I don't like people who aren't family members or good friends calling by that familiar name. Somehow Carol got away with it from the beginning - and it didn't bother me. She was just like that. I think she's in heaven now callin' God "Big Guy".
